There is one more site that I frequent quite often and it needn't be named but it spirals me into a bitchy, pissy mood that nothing can fix other than the gratification of looking at pictures and thinking I'm prettier (and clearly vainer, suffice it to say) and even that doesn't work. I go back and forth between thinking, "Oh man, I'm totally hotter" and "I AM UGLY HEAR ME ROAR." I hate the fact that I HAVE to look even though it makes me so furious and I could easily NOT look. I know it's all in my head, but still...
...Whining aside, there is one person I know who will always be hotter than me and I don't mind in the slightest because I will be her when I grow up (wishful thinking ahoy!):
Katy Perry.
I can't get enough of her. I want to be her, I want to be with her, I want to be on her like a human blanket. Okay, maybe that's creepy. But I would totally kiss her and my boyfriend wouldn't care (LOLZ PUN ON HER SONG). If you haven't heard of her, you haven't listened to the radio in a month because her single "I Kissed A Girl" is a like a (wonderful) plague.
I heard about Katy Perry a month ago (and I hadn't been listening to the radio - I was fully immersed in Jason Mraz's new CD and couldn't be bothered to listen to anything otherwise) at an 80's Night at Half Penny Pub - no, I wasn't there for 80's Night, it just happened to work out perfectly! - and the DJ played "Ur So Gay" and I almost died on the spot. Witty and clever and a voice to boot. He played "I Kissed a Girl" right afterwards and I knew that I had found my new favorite.
So I searched the interwebz for more info on her and came up with a goldmine - her site, her Myspace (which she STILL hasn't approved my friends' request to... oh sadface) and a whoooole bunch of pictures. And she's pretty much the hottest thing since Zooey Deschanel - actually, she looks like her twin and I may or may not have had a mini skeet attack over that gem.
I bought her debut disc "One of the Boys" on its release date and it hasn't left my CD player yet. I was a bit disappointed at first - I was hoping that every song would be a pseudo-techno dance hall anthem, but looks like Katy's got more up her sleeve than that. Rolling Stone gave the album 2 out of 5 stars, but listeners rated it 4.5 out of 5 and so did I. She leaves me wanting more... which is (hopefully) what I'll get when I see her at Warped Tour this summer (yes, I'm putting aside my disdain for emo and scene kids... oh lord help me).

How can I not call you Emo when you yourself do it! =)
I found your new blog and I'm glad that I did, because I, like you spend my free time on the interwebz looking at livejournals. But I unlike you, leave comments... as assholish as they may be at times! =)
How have you been? haven't heard from you.
