Just for the record, I don't understand how anyone can be pro-life.

I don't want to start a debate... really, I don't. I had to hold my tongue so god-damn terribly on Saturday night but it's a moot point now and I don't want to fight, I just want to state my opinion (aforementioned). Men should have no choice whatsoever - it's the woman's body, after all. And I don't understand how women can criticize another woman's choice either. There's a difference between being PERSONALLY against something but open-minded about other's choices....

It doesn't surprise me, though, that being pro-life comes with the term "well, it was God's decision." REALLY? I guess God totally thought it was fine for me to be raped and have a child with terrible birth defects... it's okay, He knows I can handle it. God is punishing me for having unprotected sex with a one night stand while drunk - it's his way of saying "LOL U FAIL." You know what? Getting pregnant? Not God's choice. He doesn't snap his fingers while a man and woman are in the throes of passion and go "HAHA UR ENJOYING UR STAY HERE IN ECSTASY TOO MUCH HERE'S A BB GOOD LUCK." It's biology that makes babies. And sometimes biology fucks up.

Thusly, women should be able to deal with a pregnancy in whatever way they see fit and not have to resort to back-alley abortion clinics because "GOD SAYS ITS WRONG TO KILL A (non-life sustaining on its own 1/2in.) ZYGOTE."

And while we're at it, God didn't let 9/11 happen to test our patriotism - the terrorists did it because America deserved it for all the shitty things we've done to other countries (there, I said it... Patriot Act, eat your goddamn [pun intended] heart out). God didn't give us Hurricane Katrina - Mother Nature did. God does not run the government, God doesn't run my mind. I wish other people could think for themselves too...
