The past week was full of a bunch of firsts. I rode the subway, rode in a taxi, went to Ithaca, and actually ENJOYED NYC (I know that's crazyspeak, but we went to Brooklyn and not Manhatten). It was a great trip - I wasn't nearly as stressed as I could have been, even when my windshield wiper flew off at the tail end of a huge thunderstorm near Monticello, NY (literally near absolutely NOTHING)...
AND MY FIRST METS GAME! It was fantastically long (we got to the stadium about 5:15p and didn't leave until 12:15p) because the game went 14 innings - the blame for which I'm placing on scrub pitcher Brandon Knight and the effing bullpen. Delgado had two huge homers, Tatis had one as well and the game should have been ours... but at least the damn thing ENDED. Wish Pelfrey pitched... I would have skeeted everywhere. We had RIDICULOUS seats too - just past third base, third row!
I've not felt very great since I got back though. I don't know if all the driving perpetually tired me out or what, but I'm super run down. My ears hurt (not like I have an ear infection or ache, but my earring holes!), I've got a teeny cyst on my neck and I have a really bad headache. I don't want to go to the doctor (who does) but if I don't feel better by Friday, I'm going to...
