What is really obnoxious and painful but easy to get rid of?
A) A dinosaur eating your brains
B) An annoying friend who wants to hang out all the time
C) Willie Randolph
D) A staple in your shoe
Let's think this over logically. B) isn't possible - definetely not easy to get rid of. A) doesn't exist, as it is extinct. C) is a close second. D) IS THE ANSWER. Ow ow ow. I just wish I figured that out three hours ago when it was poking me in my pinky toe.
By the way, Mets won yesterday. ILU Ryan Church.
On to the real point.
I'm a big fan of the Spill Canvas. Big big fan. Nick Thomas is an emo kid's fantasy man - he wrote, produced and recorded the debut album "Sunsets and Car Crashes" (told you it was emo) all by himself and it was fabulously acoustic and emo. Now he's playing with a band - still called the Spill Canvas - and I originally wasn't a fan of the new electric stuff off of "No Really, I'm Fine" but the CD has yet to come out of regular rotation in my car. It's catchy (and sometimes as obnoxious as that staple in my shoe) and hilariously whiny, but Nick's got such an amazing voice that I can't stop listening.
Though the song "All Over You" has become one of my favorites (thanks in most part to the pounding piano in the background over the lyrics "See all you have to do now is please try, give it your best shot and try... All I'm asking for is love"), it's a song from his first album that will remain my #1 most favorite TSC song ever...
"Staplegunned."
Coincidence?
