i'm late on music monday

Enough about my uterus, back to the regularly scheduled programming.

Darius Rucker is playing at the NYS Fair this year. At first I'm all "YES HOOTIE OMG" and then I thought about what this meant. I've been a fan of Hootie since way back (thanks to my father and his terrible musical taste) but unfortunately for me, just Rucker is playing. Most will say "Well yeah, but he'll still play Hootie hits" and I say DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH. Rucker became an overnight country sensation in 2008 with "Don't Think I Don't Think About It." And this is the NEW YORK STATE FAIR... country music reigns.

Rucker might play some old greatest hits, but I'm thinking the majority of his time on stage will be spent on his solo project stuff.

Plus it's the New York State Fair. ENOUGH SAID.

What songs he sings will be dictated by which stage he's on. If he's at the grandstand.. be prepared to hear hootie... if he's at the free stage... be prepared to hear country songs.

I had that in my original draft... he's playing at chevy court for free. Yeah, no thanks.

I might go see boys 2 men though!
